App for WhatsApp App Reviews

WhatsApp is a very useful tool to work with, but i love to work from my ipad or computer and this is just the right aplication to do it..

I put it on my phone and it works great. Put this on my MacBook and can’t get anything to work.

After legally purchasing, via the App Store, App for WhatsApp, all of a sudden I started getting a ridiculous message when I opened it. The screen is black with a giant red stamp that says SOFTWARE PIRACY ALERT and the copy includes, among other things, the line “You can try as often as you like, but the copy of App for WhatsApp you’re using is and will be detected as being pirated.” What?!? Perhaps this is happening because I’m using plane and/or Starbucks wifi lately; in a small font at the bottom of the page, it says that if I beleive my copy is legit, I can delete and re-download or contact Support using an email link that doesn’t work. Here’s my thing - if they know that there’s a problem with their app that causes it to be inaccurately identified as pirated when on public wifi, why on Earth would they use such ridiculous accusatory language? Marketers or customer retention specialists, they’re not. And this is the only app I’ve ever had this kind of trouble with, so apparently they’re not great developers, either.

My son lives in Germany and having this app has helped me stay connected with him! The app works great, I’ve had no troubles with it.

nothing good about it.. same as web. voice never works. multiple foce close needed (not responding). not worth a penny. .wish to have my money back.. for its useless.

I’m very happy with this app, as it enables me to quickly type input to WhatsApp on my Macbook KB, rather than having to key it into my iPhone, which is a far slower & typo-prone method. Many thanks to WhatsApp for for having the kindness & ingenuity to understand & act very effectively on their users’ wishes. Bravo!

Phone call clarity is exceptional. I have made many calls to China while my better half was on vacation and we were both impressed. Calls from the US to China and vise-versa had exceptional sound quality, no jitter, tunneling, or breakups. The phone app is excellent but coupled with the OSX desktop app it cant be beat in my opinion. The features are well implemented. I hated using Skype for numerious reasons. Im very happy with WhatsApp so far. I know this may sound very fluffy. Im not a blogger or employee of the company but a CEO of a tech company located in Reasearch Triangle Park. I know good tech and this is good tech. The only con is that I would like to be able to send PDFs and DOCx files to colleagues using the App. Currently you get a unsupported attachement message if you drop a Word or PDF file in chat.

Love how it syncs with my phone immeditaely. a great, seamless start. well done.

No issues so far with mackbook pro retina. Smooth sycning

The encryption is a great feature App works great.

Works excellently as far as sharing WhatsApp from my phone to my Mac. I’m able to send photos and videos to contacts with much more ease, directly from my computer. The downside is that both my phone and computer must be connected to wifi for the app to work on my computer, and I haven’t tried using the app when the devices are long distances from each other.

Beautifully written, stable and altogether useful. Saves me hours and hours of work managing multiple teams and resources in real time and securely tool across all the platforms I use in parallel. Resolves a heap of messaging challenges for me.

It’d be nice if the preview of the picture was displayed larger by default, and if not that, have the ability to zoom in on the pic without downloading it. Other than that, teriffic app overall

This app doesn’t work if the phone that has the Whatsapp account is not connected to the internet. I think that’s stupid. They’re not even making this a convenience for users. So basically I can only use this app if I have my smartphone connected (which is in my pocket). Might as well just chat through my smartphone if it’s going to be that way. You guys need to think more wisely. It doesn’t matter if your phone is not connected in that moment; it should still work perfectly on your computer without the need of your smartphone connected. Otherwise, what is the point? I really don’t find this app usefull at all as it is right now.

If you are using WhatsApp heavily on mobile, then you’ll want this for your Mac. I like how you can set a passcode to lock it after a certain amount of time along with the seamless syncing. I use WhatsApp to keep in touch with colleagues from all around and now having it on my Mac helps keep me focused and engaged here vs picking up my mobile every few seconds.

This is a great app, I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fast access to their whatsapp from their computer… they are few things missing like be able to record your voice or insert an image/files instead of just dragging the picture into the window’s app, hopefully this will available later on. I haven’t experienced any crash fails..

I can’t send MP3 file, very disappointed...

Hey, I downloaded this application a week ago and found it to be okay. Something most important that it lacks is that you cannot see the complete list of your whatsapp contacts and refresh it. It could be better, if it had all the features of real whatsapp for iphone. For instance, there is not much you can do with the app other than just texts. This is to some point its partial purpose, but whatsapp calling, sharing multimedia, and recodring voice messages also consist upon majority of the whatsapp features that people like to use now. I hope it gets better updates! Overall its okay if you just need texts.

Just got this a few days ago and love it. I’ve told all my Mac friends who use WhatsApp on their phone about this great improvement.
